It looks like had been starved for awhile. There’s no new growth. I had a clam receded like that and didn’t recovered. I fed Phyto daily as well. I kept nitrate at 10ppm and phosphate at 0.03. I think clam prefers dirtier water. Best of luck.

If you want to go the diy route to increase nitrate, you can use the tree stump removal that Home Depot sells. I can’t find the link, but it has been discussed over at reef 2 reef.

Algae thrives with lights, so you should be getting a higher reading phos/nitrates, if it is algae bloom. Since you are running an algae reactor on reversed period, I am curious does the water get progressively cloudier through out the day?

Looks like algae bloom. Not sure if you have already done this, but test the parameter when the lights on and few hours after it’s off to see if there’s significant difference in the reading. I think running uv will help.

Hi Flagg37 - I saw the video but I think BRS did it on the 360. It's impressive how much par one little light can put out. But of course, radion is still king of par.

Want to share more? I am curious. I read on another forum is that 2 160 is almost the same as 1 360. I might be wrong but would love to hear your thoughts.

What is your experience on the radion? Is it comparable to the Hydra 26 in terms of eliminating shadowing effects? I know that if I run one kessil it will lot of shadowing because of my rock work.

Not sure what's the dimension of the rear chamber for IM50, but here's the dimension of the two little fishies 150 reactor: 14.25" H x 3.0" W x 4.0" L.

thanks for everyone's advice. 2 kessil 160 is what I am leaning towards as well. But what are you guys experience having 2 kessils over 24 inches? Too much?
