It's the salt. :( There's a pretty sufficient group on another reef forum. All of our tanks crashed around the same time frame. The common thing we did was switch salts to Red Sea Coral Pro.

Flow is 350gph in a 29g. Temperature is pretty stable around 76-78. I keep the heater off because I have no AC so my house isn't cold.

I got a bunch of little bottles of povidone from BAR meetings a while back. I just finished up the last of my stash. Just curious where I should buy some. IIRC, somebody mentioned they bought theirs at CVS. What kind should I get? Is there a specific brand?

If this is for freshwater use, you can use guppies. They are cheaper than Mosquito Fish and they love mosquitoes, plus they can live in really cold temperatures. If this is for saltwater use, you shouldn't be curing in freshwater as others have said. It makes no sense.
