    There's quite a few sponges that are bad. This one is in a poor location (but not a bad one IIRC), I'd scrape it off and scrub the area with a tooth brush (do both outside of the tank). The ones you really want to avoid, for the most part, you cannot tell they are there... they are boring...

    You don't want it to tumble... you want the entire bed to lift up, but just short of actual tumbling, carbon or no carbon.

    That's really attributed to fragging larger plates. Smaller ones become circular much quicker, under a year in most cases.

    Yes, you can frag "tongue" corals. Be careful fragging "plates" though, its not as successful as most fragging goes.
