RODI water safe for humidifier?

Not as much clear info about this as one might think. I bought a new humidifier and want to prevent calcification on this one. I know distilled water is best for humidifiers but I’m thinking rodi might be a cost effective alternative if it is indeed usable. Thoughts?

Oh yes, very, even the gray water from rodi is safe too.

The best humidifier is an open-top reef tank with lots of surface flow

I don’t see why RODI wouldn’t be a great option.

Well I used to use plain tap water for my kids humidifier so RoDi definitely would work.

Ah ok, but I would definitely discourage using the waste water cuz of the high TDS concentration.... calcification would be worse that tap water!

Yeah I used to use tap water, but hate the calcification buildup. My water supply has 224 TDS coming in, so it’s harsh on the humidifier.
