Neptune Aquatics

Timing is everything

I broadcast feed some Oyster Feast, ROE, and/or Reef Chili at night (~10pm) after lights are out 2-3 times a week.

My chalice feeding tentacles don't come out until then anyway. I have no idea if they're actually eating what I throw in the tank, but at least they have a chance to grab something.

It was for me to do it at night, return pump off for a little while. When I started Oyster Feast, man I had to turn off the skimmer as well but a bit longer as it went crazy.
Reef Chilli and Oyster Feast.

I feed reef nutrition (or whatever the Red Sea coral foods called) A and B during my normal feeding time around 4:30 pm. Then about once a week after lights out...around 11:30 I’ll feed reef roids or reef chili directly to the LPS

I target feed corals at night with reef roids. They seem to be most receptive to food then, but I could be wrong.
