    I had the Caribsea Hawaiian Black. It traps detritus and looks dull unless you keep it clean. I replaced all of my black sand with white sand (Fiji Pink) except for one spot where my neon green trachy contrasts against the black. I still have a small bag I might use on a future tank...but...

    and now that I've posted a topic about sleeping, my yellow wrasse finally used the sanded yesterday...and my red wrasse tried to jump, hit the lid, and hasn't been seen since yesterday morning. platygyra stung a ricordea. are hobbies always this fun?

    Some people say their melanurus became a bully. I wasn't sure if that was a problem with the genus, species, individual, or other tankmates.

    I think I have one of those. Montipora setosa? Its in the upper center of my tank. There are other corals on the same rock but the monti is the only one that attracts algae. Any advice?

    I just got a favites frag a few days ago. Today I noticed one of the corners was chipped and the polyp damaged. The other polyps are behaving like normal. Will the injured corner polyp heal itself?

    I've bought from algaebarn once. Didn't "look" like the bags were full of pods. I think any pods I buy won't survive to adulthood.

    I created a few rubble zones to seed pods in dt but I don't know which type to get. One website will say a harpacticoids are pelagic, then another website will say they're benthic... or pelagic as nauplii but benthic as adults... and vice versa. One website contradicted itself saying apocyclops...
