    Reef 3D printing request thread

I have one sitting in the return sump chamber. When I took it out as I was swapping pumps -and a few popped out when I shook it-so maybe? Piece of live rock should work too.

PH probe failure (apex) -another brand available

I can where if, for example, using a CX reactor relied on the PH-I can see the impending disaster if not calibrated. For me it’s a nice to know (when accurate) vs need.

PH probe failure (apex) -another brand available

I get lazy about that -hopefully new probe I will be better about that.

PH probe failure (apex) -another brand available

Thanks. One of the comments was that it was. Should be good to go. 1/3 the price! Thanks for the tip.

PH probe failure (apex) -another brand available

So it looks like the PH probe is torched (25 months). Question-are there other brands that can be used (higher quality) and if so, has anyone done so. TIA

Def thinking on the same vein.

    Unreleased Hydros Maven

It looks like you attach a couple of sensor probes (PH|temp) -if so- hmm-might really be able to start a slow conversion over., Still going to hang back and see how this new device performs in the wild in the meantime. Def a game changer

PIF-Bella goby if you have a big tank and a fish trap!

Not intentionally but anything on sandbed is not safe. Valid point

PIF-Bella goby if you have a big tank and a fish trap!

Hello all- I purchased a Bella goby last week from AC. He is a good boi but he is way too efficient for my tank (54 gal DT) and I am afraid he will starve himself soon. It is prob 4-5 in long and needs to be in an established 125+ gallon tank minimum. I have tried to get him out twice to no...

    Unreleased Hydros Maven

Link here: https://www.coralvue.com/hydros-maven-automatic-water-tester Looks like $1200. Tests all 5 parameters - It appears that it can be a stand alone product . Not sure what testing times are like for each or how many tests per day/week can be programmed. That’s a way to poach on your...

Neptune Trident NP and new DOS!

I really only trust it for alk as ca is generally tied together as I am using all for reef -BUT now curious to see if CA really does float up at 50% or less.

Neptune Trident NP and new DOS!

Not sure I even noticed.. hmm-will keep an eye on this.

Neptune Trident NP and new DOS!

That is a bit odd. Happens occasionally on my trident that it does that but rare. How long have you had it? If over 6 months have you cleaned out the optical sensor chamber?

Neptune Trident NP and new DOS!

How often you calibrate? I do it after the B|C reagents are replaced (assuming A too)

Neptune Trident NP and new DOS!

I could see a need with a device that tested 2x a week perhaps. What would be interesting.. is to see how my carbon dosing is doing throughout the day in conjunction with my otherwise heavy feeding schedule- but it’s a nice to know not a need to have..

Neptune Trident NP and new DOS!

Def steep for PO4|NO3 as I really need to only test 2x a week-sometimes even less.
