Advice needed on Roof Fan sizing...

I'm having my roof redone this month and I'd like to put a roof fan in the garage where my tank is located. The garage gets extremely humid and hot, esp during the summer when the halides are on.

Does anyone have any ideas on what type/size fan I would need to purchase to vent the garage properly?

The garage is a one and a half car garage, probably 20'x20'. The ceiling slopes upwards and gets to a max of twelve feet or so.

I was considering one of the Fan Tech roof fans:

I'm not sure which size (CFM) to get. The six inch one does 227CFM and the eight inch ones does 400 or so. I don't want to one that's super overkill, but I have no idea what CFM rating to shoot for.

They run off of standard household current, so I will probably hook it up to my Aquacontroller.

Can anyone recommend a target fan size in CFM i should go for? Also any other suggestions on brands or models?

That is a great idea.
It may help reduce your utility bills,
You may want to put on in the attic if you have one.
400 cfm for sure in the garage.
My guess is that your garage is uninsulated like most homes.
Even if it is not on a hot day you will need all of the 400 cfm.
I have 400 cfm in my fish room (7x8x8) and am very satisfied.

I considered solar powered fans... they seem to be getting popular, but I really need the fan to work even in the evening when the lights are on, but there's no sun shining, so I think I need to go with a regular powered one.

I found this Broan fan which seems to move a lot more air. This might be a better bet. Even comes with a thermostat built in.
