Our mission

AquaPod Frog House

Mr. Ugly

Past President
Cleaned up the 12g Aquapod this weekend and moved a few things over.

Frogfish is in the 12g now, and the cubicle tanks are shut down.

I put in a few types of random hitchhiker sponges. I think it would be cool to have a sponge collection reef :D

Might as well use them for extra filtration since there's no skimmer on the tank.

A few pics...

Thanks guys.

Eric, that one looks like Antennarius pictus to me.

Phong, I only have the one now.

Kind of risky to have more than one in the same tank. It would be cool to try breeding them again, but it's a TON of work to raise the larvae. If I ever have too much free time.... :D

The 12g Aquapod runs 2x27 watt bulbs.

Turns out that you can get 24g Aquapod ballasts and run 2x32 watt.

For some reason, Pet Mountain has the 32 watt ballasts for super cheap compared to other places.

http://www.petmountain.com/product/aquarium-ballast/512042/current-usa-replacment-ballast-32-watt.html

The stock setup is 1 dual daylight, and 1 dual actinic.

My dual actinic burned out, so the plan is to upgrade and run 32w dual daylight, and 32w daylight/actinic for more PAR. Probably will run the ballasts remotely for less heat under the canopy.

Hi Lyn

Yah, that's the one. I had just moved it to the tank that evening. So it might not look too happy.

Seems to like that spot though. Ate a couple times already.

Have some more lighting that's supposed to be showing up this evening.
