Camera settings

Or just learn to handhold the camera steady, unless you're shooting below 1/15 seconds without IS. I haven't use a tripod in years for coral shots.
 
Just a rule of thumb. Most people can hand hold without camera movement when the shutter speed is equal or greater than their focal length of their lens. If you've got a 35mm lens then you should be able to hand hold the camera with a shutter speed of 1/35 or faster. The higher the focal length of the lens the more susceptible it is to picking up camera movement. Of course this is a general rule. Some people are much more stable in their stance and can hold it still better and visa versa.
 
I will try these when i get home. I have micro lens for my cannon DSLR camera that has been sitting in my closet for awhile. Wasn't able to do what i wanted ;P
