So I am starting up a journal to share everything that I can about my Red Sea Reefer 250 tank.

I have lots to learn still and lots to improve on. This forum and a lot of other resources have helped me with the start up and tuning of things.

Red Sea Reefer 250 (54 gallons)
    2 Radions G4 XR15
    2 mp40s
    Reef Octopus skimmer 150
    Reef Octopus DC return pump
    Apex WIFI
    2 Neptune DOS
    2 Neptune DDR containers
    Neptune feeder
    Avast MR16 algae reactor

Nice!! The pics. dont do your tank justice! It looks a lot better in person and is one of our (mine and Peters) favorite tanks.

Agree with Mark - in person your tank looks fantastic, scrupulously clean and vivid!

Over the past few months my alk hasn’t been stable. I was manually dosing and will skipped days. I finally got my DOS running a few weeks ago and staring to see some improvement on my sps.

Very nice. Looks like you don't have room for that elegance. :)

Looking good! Should be so much more stable with the doser.

I remember the days of manual dosing. Never again.

Looks like you still got some good cheato growth in that reactor. You ever have problems with it melting?

It grows like crazy. Not melting yet. I have to admit that cleaning this thing sucks

Lol....I'm coming to that conclusion too. I'm thinking a fuge is the way to go if you got the space.

It’s time we upgrade this reefers 250. We need space
