Thats what I was thinking. getting a dime sized tang. But its anyways months away since I'd want it to stabilize with half new water.
 
The problem is you would have to find a new home for the fish. Just getting the fish out of the tank would be a job and a half, depending on how your rockwork is set up, and how much the fish doesn't want to get caught. Then you would have to find another reefer who is willing to take it off your hands.

My flasher wrasses would probably be easy to get out they try and get into the bags I am pulling coral out of. The cardinals hide as soon I put my hand in the water.

I have no experiences with tangs though.
