Evaporation Rates

I'm trying to plan for ATO. The total tank volume is gonna roughly be 60-70g (including sump).

What kind of evaporation rates are you guy seeing with tanks of that volume. My previous 120g was about 1-2 gallons per day.

A lot depends on individual factors -- windows open or closed, fans, temperature you keep house at, amount of surface area of the tank, lid or coverings, etc. However, I'd figure 1.5 gallons a day to be safe, but probably a little on the high side.

Depends a lot on open top or lids? I would think maybe a liter a day up to 1 gal depending on factors Bruce mentioned.

My 10 gallon ATO can safely last about 5 days. Approximately 120 gallon total volume (tank+sump) rimless.

~0.6 gallons/day in the office here. 87G tank with ~100 gallons running volume. Rimless with no lid and running a 13G reservoir.

My 110g display would go through 10g every week. Rimless, no lid, lots of flow, typical living room temp
