Glide magnet over two pane of glasses?

I use a pretty strong magnet to clean tank glass. When I move the magnet from say front glass pane to the side pane, I do not remove the magnet inside the tank and reposition it at the side glass. Instead, I simply turn the outside magnet to the side pane's outside surface, and the inside magnet will move by magnetic force to the side pane.

My question is whether this motion of inside magnet, over time, may damage the silicone seal between the two glass panes and cause leak?

I've been doing the same as you for years. Haven't noticed any ill effects. But, honestly haven't been looking
