Any one pick one of these up?

I was thinking about getting the phosphate one. Especially after seeing on reefbuilders that they're looking to come out with Ca, Alk, and Mg.

Did they change their phophate test? I seem to recall the error range for it was larger than what we typically want to see in a reef setting. (i.e. its really useless unless our phophates are through the roof)

Given that their $1K units don;'t do those and the probe/titration problems they typically have, I'm doubting they'll be coming out with those (even thought he President said they would). vaporware at this point. But hey, if they do and they work, I'm getting me some :D

Ultra low range (PPB) "Phosphorus" test
Range: 0 to 200 ppb
Resolution: 1 ppb
Accuracy: ±5% of reading ±10 ppb @ 25ºC

Normal (PPM) "Phosphate" test
Range 0.00 to 2.50 ppm (mg/L)
Resolution: 0.01 ppm (mg/L)
Precision: ±0.04 ppm (mg/L) ±4% of reading @ 25°C

I have one. I think it's a must have. Much better than matching colors. It's pretty accurate compared to the expensive model.

So you have the HR and not the LR, right?

HR/LR? High Range/Low Range?

This is the one I have.

First one is LR and the second is HR

Still cracks me up they can claim a resolution of 0.01 yet their precision is 0.04. Fancy way of saying the numbers will read down to 0.01 but that doesn't really mean anything :D

that sucks....i didnt notice that till you pointed it out

At least a Ca and Alk hopefully...but if they can pull it off, and accurately, id be in line with you:D

The day it happens, and is accurate, I'm going to be so happy :) I dread judging damn color ending points.

Yea it sucks that the margin for error is greatly increased with my color blind, crosseyed, and wishfull thinking self
like when the colors read "blue, kinda blue, blue with a little green, blue green"...i ask my girlfriend what color she thinks it is and she replies "peppermint!" aww FML
