Light Acclimation

Today, I changed my lighting to a system that has about twice the PAR (according to Sanjay's test) of my old system. How long should I acclimate?

I currently put an eggcrate over the tank with a couple of layers of fiberglass screens.

I have read that if you put 4 layers of screen over the tank, remove one screen a week, and in a month, you should be good to go. This is one way of doing it.
