Lone clownfish spawned

So I've helped a few people get started in the hobby recently and one of the tanks has a single clownfish and some random beginner corals. The tank has been set up for maybe 2-3 weeks. The sole occupant - A female clownfish that has been by itself for the past 2-3 months.

To my surprise, the clownfish laid eggs. I called BS but a quick picture proved me wrong.
Just thought I'd share as I found this pretty interesting and formerly unthinkable.

This is not unheard of, but is quite unusual. One other weird circumstance is where two female clowns take up residence together and both will put down nests. The eggs of course never become fertile, but that doesn't seem to stop them from trying!
