lumatek ballast failure

I turned on my MH for a friend to see the tank tonight and had a bulb flicker and go out.
I went back in the fish room to see what was up and saw nasty black smoke coming out of the ballast.
I'm glad the thing has a beefy aluminum housing and a 5 year warranty!
Does anyone have a loaner ballast for a SE 250w radium I could use?
I don't know how long it will take lumatek to replace/repair mine.
 
I have my icecaps that I just replaced with lumateks that you can borrow. They were running my radiums for a while but a bit under driven. A little on the blue side tho.
 
i have a hamilton hqi you can borrow for the time being. I havnt gotten the reef brite pendant yet so its just sitting right now. I dont have the part that plugs to the ballast though

John from Lumatek called me and said I could switch out my bad ballast for a new one no charge.
The company is based in Novato, not far from me.
Great service IMO for him to recognize my address, call me, and offer me the option to come and pick one up.
