I've never considered myself a tree hugging enviromentalist, just a concerned citizen trying to reduce my carbon footprint. The solar array was an easy step, since most of the work was done by contractors and close to half the cost was borne by the great State of California. So now I'm kicking it up a notch. I'm in the process of converting a Porsche 914 to a zero emission electric vehicle. No subsidy this time, and I'm doing most of the work myself, except for welding which a fellow reefer, formerly a professional welder, has volunteered to do.
