Pretty happy with Canon S90

Been testing out my new slightly-above-point-and-shoot Canon S90.
I bought this because they are going against that megapixel crazy marketing war,
and went back to a 10 Mpix higher quality sensor, with good optics.

Interestingly, they even have an "Aquarium mode" as part of the standard scenes you can select.
Unfortunately, it looks terrible. It is clearly meant for super-blue 20,000K types, not my fairly balanced lighting.
Looks way to yellow.

At any rate, does very well in normal mode for me. I highly recommend the S90 if you are looking
a step above your usual point and shoot, but don't want a monster SLR.
It is really good in low light. But uh - not a problem in an aquarium.

Here is my clown fish, with a suspicious look, wondering what I am doing.

Nice, Mark. Take lots and lots of shots. I'm still considering which the right DSLR for me and the S90 is one of the contenders. Thanks for sharing.

I love my s90. I seem to be carrying it more and more as I realize how big and heavy my dslr is. Defiantly the best point and shoot camera I have ever owned.

Being easy to carry is just so key. I will never go back to SLR.
(I can borrow my sister-in-laws when I really have to)
The S90 is a bit bigger than your standard P/S, since the lens sticks out a bit. But still easily fits in a pocket.
It is so important to keep the default habit of always carrying it, no matter where you go.

PS: It appears they have a really good waterproof case for it.
You cannot access the ring or all the buttons, but it does the basics.
I really might get that.
