Put those aquarium controllers on a guest network

Less about you and your network specifically but just someone finding open network access that can be taken advantage off.
These days, less about passwords though can happen but more about what's either st the end or ability to use your machines in your home to do things like cryptocurrency mining (even though BTC took a hit, still a great way for underground transactions).
TBH, the chances of someone within proximity of your home that cares to do that is slim to none unless you are in populous place. But if something came along that exploited vulnerabilities in your controllers that created some automated attack at scale, then all bets are off... but with anything that runs on software, vulnerabilities are inevitable.
