would it be wise to drill a nano

I have a 12 gal jbj nano that i would like to drill to add a sump. (nothing better to do with it ) does anyone know if the bottom or the back glass is tempered on those things?

I have a Cube Masters, 12 gallon nano cube. I was told it is tempered glass and not able to drill it at my LFS.
