I dont test my water parameters:(

You should not ignore CA-if it is too high-it can cause issues with pumps among other issues. Plus-if you are dosing two part solution two close together-one can precipitate.

I dont test my water parameters:(

I am plus one for all for reef. Once i had it dialed in-it’s been pretty good ever since in terms of keeping ALK/CA/MG steady. Plus if you make an error (like put too much in by accident) -it won’t spike alk or PH. It also has no effect on PH directly so I like that as well. Can’t comment on...

2 Part Supplements - BRS vs. Live Aquaria?

Wow-quite the disparity-I don’t use 2 part but if I did I’d consider switching over indeed.

NECESSITY FOR A SUCCESS REEF TANK

My two cents following @IOnceWasLegend and others. LPS easy, SPS has been a slower path of success. I have attempted to automate much as possible as well. I have a trident and do test 2x a week for nitrate and phosphate (Hanna) Also, I have noticed on my tank with SPS -lower phosphate (~.3 or...

    Changing test times for trident

Makes sense. I think I have enough to get to possibly sat before it runs out by midnight assuming the estimates provided by apex are correct. Not worried about one day.

    Changing test times for trident

I know someone had posted this somewhere but there is a video/tutorial demonstrates how to change the testing time and number of tests for trident. Also anyone that has done this-what is new schedule (number of tests) and have you seen any adverse events such as lack of accuracy? TIA

Recommendation for a reasonably priced electrician? East Bay / Walnut Creek

Not sure how the back office can quote 2x the verbal? But at least you can still find them -my mom in Rochester,NY can’t find any at all. Still ugh. Besides my commentary-I can’t offer a recommendation-my understanding is the last person we used no longer works directly with customers (only...

    Tunze Osmolator 3

According to Tunze-you are not supposed to do that as it can fry the electronics. Whether that is true-idk.

    Tunze Osmolator 3

In short, the tunze drove me crazy with the alarms. If I had the skimmer shut off for feeding-to high. Other things triggered it as well. You can turn the alarm off if I recall. The apex worked until it didn’t and the optical sensors failed on occasion that required replacement about once a...
