was trying to pick up a mystery wrasse, achilles, and gem from AC, but i saw they have 3 pink streaked in stock for $85. they are running a 25% off livestock sale also.
i had scouters who were looking for some high end sps for me. they reported back that i had all of them already. i guess i am far from being helped at this point.
every tank has their failure. lots of members here have red sea as their tanks including myself and neither one of them has an issue. if you think IM doesnt have their issues also, go right ahead. either way, either manufacturer is good. good luck on your upgrade.
edit: i have a rsr350 for...
i suggest a red sea. it will give you everything you want and a sump set up. if you go IM, which is also good, you would need to find a sump that would fit the cabinet - which is an additional price.
i would like to add to this as well. how did you do your major cleaning? what did you use to clean it with? did you make sure you clean everything off with rodi and let dry before adding everything back? maybe you leeched some chemicals back into the tank when resetting it back up in 7...
simplicity as mention above. you can look at reef octopus (regal), nyos, or red sea. personally, i run a red sea psk900 (used to be psk600) on a red sea350 tank which is overkill.
skimmers are based on bioload more than total volume. i wouldn't undersize the skimmer and bubble magus are cheap for a reason. spend a little more for something better. i would look at total air flow (pH related) when searching.
