It seems like the hydros doesn't really have anything that supports automated dosing...Profilux and Neptune are both around the same cost to get automated dosing setup (though it seems like the trident has been hit with a lot of issues)

You can’t. The chaeto was growing fine for awhile, but in the past 2 weeks it hasn’t grown and the chaeto has now started breaking apart

Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll just take the algae reactor offline and start it slow with nopox. Maybe add in gfo down the line if phos isn’t under control

So I retested today and my nitrates are at about 25 and phos at .14...I dose iron every day so it shouldn’t be an iron problem... Should I just switch to nopox and gfo for nutrient management since the algae reactor has become unreliable?

I dose with nitrates and the iron supplement thats supplied by Pax Bellum..Maybe I should upping the dosage amounts. I'm not concerned about the .06, moreso wondering what could be bringing down the phosphates and if it will start to rise now that the chateo is dying off Will need to test my...

I have some brown dusting on my tank (which is about 5 months old) I took a sample under a microscope and saw this. Not sure what these are, as they seem to be independent of one another and just move about and bump into each other That’s what the dusting looks like on the sand

My pintail used to swim out in the open, but it got startled once and jumped up and hit the cover...Since then, its been doing what yours has been doing and just hides and only comes out to eat

I also notice one or two polyps on my indo torch with those tiny bumps in them...wonder if I’ll see the same thing

Does anyone do the recommended dose daily? I've currently been doing the recommended dose daily for about 2 weeks and haven't seen any negative effects...yet Want to make sure Im not setting myself up for failure here
