FYI Saltwateraquarium.com gives $5 in birthday points

I've had nothing but great experiences with them. They've been my default go-to after hearing they were a family run shop on Reef beef. The free items with every order is always nice too.

    180 Gallon Tank Move Help

The bay is headed to a long stretch of rain..carrying anything glass and heavy in the rain can get messy. You may want to consider the weekend after Thanksgiving if it can wait.

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

RO & saltwater mixing tanks came in today. Originally planned on getting an extruded aluminum rack to stack these one on top of the other, but was able to find a commercial wire rack that could hold the weight at a fraction of the cost. The one on tip will be for RO water and have a float...

    Black Friday reefing deals/purchases?

Ill be keeping an eye out on a few sites for specific things. I'm hoping SWA has a deal on Neptune equipment. I'm going to give the Trident NP a shot and looking for a few other things like a PM1, FMM, and some magnetic level sensors. Polyplab genesis block is on sale now on the 15% map deal...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

Finally got around to unboxing a couple items that came in earlier this week. I picked up the Geo kalk rx and algae rx in red. Took a while to build, but with the hurricane hitting that area, very understandable. Both fit nicely under the stand, but the more red I get the more the blue on the...

    100g+ Tank stand w/ wheels?

Wheels on a stand are great for the build when there's no water...easy to plumb, wire manage, and move all back at the end of the day when your done. But for when it's filled, that sucker is staying planted...the sheer weight of the tank with water in it would make it a feat..not to mention the...

    Hands Down Best Coral Dip

I wouldnt mind storing a bottle this size, but oral versions have a small amount of sweetening agent, so not viable ..there are smaller vials for IV use as well, but opening those to pour out is a PITA.

    Hands Down Best Coral Dip

+1 on the smaller version 40 lbs is alot of dip...when your not using it it's taking up space...I still have a huge bag of dowflake somewhere in my storage from a group buy we did here in the early 2000's.

External Pump/s (OM 4 and 8 way possibly)

The OM 1-3/2-4 configuration with a reef flow dart on a closed loop was the best combo...both would last forever..installing them sucked tho

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

Seeing the clarity when you fill it for the first time is unforgettable... But when you do scratch it, don't curse up a storm like the 16 year old me...I was broke and didn't buy the proper scrapers..working at Pacific Sunwear in 96-97 for $4.25/hr , I figured I'd save a couple bucks...big...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

@richiev gave me the feedback I needed..if I didn't have the tank yet, I would have jumped on the deal right away and went acrylic...but I did forget some of my experiences with acrylic that I would find difficult to accept now..when it's difficult for me to clean, it gives me more reason to...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

I used to get still necks when binge watching Netflix and got the mantle mount to lower the TV...your right, the difference is night and day..the soundbar sounds better, we can raise it back up when not watching, and no pain! With all the ergo enhancements I've made at work and my home office...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

What's crazy is the lid I ordered for this glass tank is almost as much as swapping it out to an acrylic one from them! Kicking myself over that. Hard to pass up a deal like that...especially when your on a forum full of enablers..haha

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

I spent the past few nights measuring and envisioning a 26" high tank with the same footprint...almost hit up John to give him the specs..still on the fence, as the tank isn't one of those things I could tell her "I got it for $50 on the forums, I swear!" LOL If I do change it out now I'll be...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

Added an ATO container from Advanced Acrylics. Colorway went perfect with the rest of the equipment without being overbearing. I gotta say, the quality of their work is damn good and it got me trying to think up what else I can have made to match. I originally planned on housing the container...
