    Maxi-Mini anenome movement

i have 3 of them and they really havnt moved from where i placed them. One wandered around the rock i put it on and hit a colony of zoas, but ended up crawling into a crack away from them. According to Gary Majchrzac (the guy on RC whos been keeping these for years) the minis move around...

    RBTA shrinking

lol my old one only split 4 times but every time it did this is exactly what it did. Everytime i did a large water change (50%+) it would go through this.

    My rock background.

nice build....have you managed to get your ribbon eel to eat? I had one way back and the only thing it would take was live food. small peps and camel shrimp got expensive and were hard to find at such small sizes.

    Finger infection

I wouldn't consider any leftover antibiotic rX as any fallback plan by any means. Self diagnosis and treatment with leftover prescription meds, especially that of an unfinished course of antibiotics, can cause way more trouble than do good. MD's prescribe courses of meds (5 days, 7 days, 10 days...

    Nitrate test kits

how old were your kits? FWIW ive used API, salifert, and elos....all read pretty much the same. I do get off readings when my API kit gets old, but thats usually around the 10-12 month mark. ( i dont test nitrate too often after getting a denitrator)

thoughts on thia skimmer for my medium load 180

Yea working with little space sucks...I decided to keep all the equipment just incase i upgrade later on tho. I used 2 airline tubes becuase when i had only 1 it made a whistling sound from all the air being sucked in. With 2 its pretty much silent once you have the proper height dialed in...

    Patricks 50 gal. cube

I couldnt agree with you more. They work great when conditions are ideal, but once water levels fluctuate you either have a really dirty skimmer neck or an overflowed skimmer. I use the osmolator for top off so as long as i remember to refill the top off container low water levels arnt a...

I wish i could keep my equipment at a remote location. For now i have everything cramped in the stand. all that equipment fit nicely under the stand for the 180 but gets a bit bulky when working in the new stand. When i did my over flow i used the hofer gurgle buster...
