Ideas on hiding the cords? thinking maybe drill holes in the cabinet base and feed them through, the down the middle using a cable raceway painted the same color as the wall?

no, the Apex EB needs to have open 1link ports. it comes with three and I think the head unit plugs in with aqua bus, so no module would be required

if you buy the full on Apex I don't think a 1link is required
