    Low Magnesium

I had the same issue with low MG for a while - using reefcrystals. I added MG to my CA reactor to help keep it up. But yes, it takes a TON of material to get it up just a little bit! To go from 1100-1350+ I did daily additions for about 2-3 weeks... -Kyle

    Chaeto / Plant Fuge Lighting

Are you use just using the straight CFL or using the spotlight ones...I am using a standard right now, and it does not put that much light into the tank - I think the spotlight is relatively important...unless you have the other bulbs installed into a reclector. -Kyle

    Chaeto / Plant Fuge Lighting

Are these available at Lowes, HD, or other local shop? I need a replacement bulb - so figured that I'd get something better than what I currently have. Best -Kyle

    How to choose a controller?

there are a lot of used controllers available - even some of the higher end units. When you buy, make sure to ask if all the outlets are functioning properly, and get a guarantee from the person that they are working as such. You will want pH control if you will use a calcium reactor, and...

    Atlantis Chronic Hairy Stag

It was near the bottom my my 180 under ATI T5's - it was pretty happy there. I'd suggest middle of the tank, but with lots of good indirect flow - the polyps really come out in full force with a good varied current.

    Yuma Troubles

With the amount of new corals that seems to enter the tank, I think at least some of these are more than possible...its just what priority you put forward.

    Oregon Tort

No frag for me either... May I add to Bryan's comments... In the academy award-winning classic Cocktail, Coughlin tells young Flanagan, "Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end."

    Yuma Troubles

Of the many aquarium components, this is a must. Remember, you get what you pay for - the Tunze is much more sensitive than the float valves, and, IMHO is worth every penny. I would also add other essential components are some form of doing (Kalk, CA reactor, 2 part, etc.) that is automated...

    Kvosstra's Raspberry Prostrata

Much harder to do then a scoly

nice looking yuma...I hate these things - they are so pricy and yet so delicate. I lost my prized pink colony 2 years ago - I kept my zoas and yuma's in a 12g nano instead of my high flow 40 sps reef, and it got super hot one day...everything melted! What a bummer! Eric - got pics of...

    whats the best sand sifter

oops...I was thinking about Tribbles I guess. For a real answer, "Sand sifting" as you are using it, is sort of a misnomer. I am guessing that you want to clean the sand, or at least keep it clean. Sand sifting creatures do sift through the sand, but they eat the small matter (animals...

    whats the best sand sifter

The best sand sifter is a strong power head a gravel vacuum. The most efficient goby...might be homo sapiens, often come in different sizes, males seem to be better at sifting sand than females. However, be careful that the homo sapien goby does not get too much ETOH, or they often dump...

    Atlantis Chronic Hairy Stag

Bleached...you mean dead. LOL - but the front 1/2 should do just fine. Lots of flow and good light and it should regain its intense green color and long polyps. Its a stunning coral when its happy! -Kyle

    ROOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRR!!!!!!

Wiki had some other neat comments too... "It is possible that the tales of jackalopes were inspired by sightings of rabbits infected with the Shope papilloma virus, which causes the growth of horn- and antler-like tumors in various places on the rabbit's head and body.[1] [2] However, the...

    Oregon Tort

I thought it might have been - but didnt want to assume that in writing! I'm curious to try LED in the future...I might try to get a frag tank with 1/2 lit by T5 or MH and the other 1/2 by LED. Very generous of you Patrick to donate such nice frags! -Kyle

    Kvosstra's Raspberry Prostrata

unfortunately, I have a limited number of frags -since the tank and livestock are (likely) being sold as a package... I have a feeling that frags will be available from Atlantis though in the near future!
