Well not exactly new.... It was originally setup in mid April 2013 and allowed to cycle with lights off until mid June when the lone yellow tail damsel was purchased. The tank continued to run sans lights for another 2 months before the first coral was introduced and the lights were turned on...

Must have been a lot of that Meteor Shower Cyphastrea there as I got a piece too.... so far it's the only frag that hasn't had PE. Everything else (including sticks!!) opened within an hour or so..... made me feel good about my tank and its parameters!!! There was one piece that was labeled...

Emerald crabs worked for me...had to crush the really large ones they couldn't get a grip on.... My rabbit fish wouldn't touch them, but may have been just the one fish. -Gregory

Anyone have success with these? I would like to try in my nano, but care instructions vary. Some sites say they need to be fed several times daily for success… others say only several times per week. I can reasonably commit to twice a day……more than that is not possible. -Gregory

Are there any comparability issues with B-ionic and BRS two part additives? I have some B-ionic part 1 (alk) left over but will also be using BRS part 2 (Ca). Any issues or use BRS part 1 too. -Gregory

Yup.. I had to cut back on the GFO to allow some PO4 in the water for the softies... wasn't too hard as I had anthias that were fed constantly....... Nope.. can be at the top of the tank....my 70gal softie tank had 6 T5s on it with a selection of sinularia, nepthia, and other assorted softies...

Maybe the PO4 you had was at an undetectable level for your test kit... don't know. But the reaction of my softies to the drop in PO4 in my tank was immediate and severe. After searching for some time I was able to find references on the net to others with the same experience. As to the...
