You are correct... but when I had my psycho-anthias they were pigs and dirty fish to keep. It was good alternative to powered mechanical filtration that would do the same thing, and easier to maintain. -Gregory

Not saying its dangerous... but I've never needed bleach and my socks came out nice and white.... felt socks that is. -Gregory

I used washing machine but no bleach or soap.......second rise in case soap/bleach left from previous washes. Still came out nice and white. -Gregory

For larger LPS like open brain I put strawberry basket upside down over it with rrock on top until it was done eating. Keeps shrimp out too.... -Gregory

I’m getting ready to get back into the hobby and setup a 29 gal nano. When cycling is it ok to add the live sand at the beginning of the cycling process or wait until after? Will the ammonia and nitrite spikes take its toll on the bacteria/good flora/fawna? Or does it matter? -Gregory
