    Iodine Dip

I'm not sure on that. If you look up the lugols iodine I remember there being some threads that listed the chemical breakdown of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Acan melting

Another thought as I can't remember what all you have for livestock but if you have hermits or if you have anything that moves sand keep an eye on them. Between my goby and he hermits that now live in the sump they killed more than a few of the more fleshy lps. A lot of them all it takes is one...

    Acan melting

If it's just lps you are having an issue with I would skip the revive as that's just gonna stress it out more. It won't stop or kill a bacteria infection all its gonna do is get in where the flesh is dying and irritate it more. I would do the iodine dip and depending on where it is in the tank I...

What kind of Carbon do you recommend?

On the gfo check and double check your tumble rate. I recently had a problem with mine, I set it and all was good then it ended up changing don't know if it was an air pocket or what but it ended up tumbling way to fast and clouded the tank. Didn't hurt anything but made me freak out till I...

What kind of Carbon do you recommend?

I'll have to look but I think I've got a whole big thing of the brs rox stuff I could sell you at whatever their asking for it minus shipping. Had got it thinking thinking I could run it in bags as well and it didn't end up working out.

    EnderTurtle's 40 gallon breeder LPS

I always light acclimate them. Had some bad experiences with just placing some in a similar lighted location so now I move everything up slowly and have much better lick

My shrimp are getting it on!

Both my pepermints and my cleaner shrimp have been going at it for a while now in the 60. I had babies that made it and were growing very slowly under the frag rack until the Copperband found them. Haven't seen but one or two of the babies since. The shrimp almost always have eggs everytime I...

Best part of my trip so far

That was about all they had for corals there. A few nps in another tank I don't think I managed to get a good pic of. Most of the rest were all fake inserts. I'll try and post up more pics when I get to a hotel or somewhere with wifi

Best part of my trip so far

Title says it all. I'll try add some pics from my camera later but these are the few I grabbed on my phone. Really wish i had been feeling better but after 2.5 days of driving and sightseeing I'm hurting pretty bad. They had a cool thing where you could go snorkel in their big reef tank for...

    Kessil Spectral Controller

That makes sense. Right now I'm in the process of switching from Vegas to kessil. Maybe one day I might consider the radions, I thought about them but just couldn't justify the price and the fact that I would need 3 of them over the 100. So far I've got to say I'm really impressed with kessil so...

I've always wondered what made you decide to switch lights?

    Vinyl Tint

The water with a little dish soap trick is very common. It helps you be able to smooth out the bubbles and get it applied nicely. As far as seeing through it it will get a little better when applied but it might take some getting used to on a tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Vinyl Tint

As long as you keep the blade angled you can remove without scratches. We used to razor old vinyls off cars quite often with no scratches Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Vinyl Tint

Interesting. I never had much problem removing old tint when I was doing it in Iowa. Every once in a while I would get a tough one. Wonder if the heat and sun here bakes it on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
