Any LFS still carry "fresh" live rock?

@anathema if you only need small pieces I have a bag of small artificial rocks that are dry, but should be sterilized. They were in my tank when I had a bryopsis outbreak. I have no clue if bryopsis can survive after being dried, but a couple of days in bleach would be wise.

Any LFS still carry "fresh" live rock?

Be wary of adding live rock. I've picked up some unwanted pests, including invasive algae by adding just a few more pieces of live rock. If you only need a few small pieces, dry rock is a safer bet.

    Hitchhiker... Aaaah!!!

In place of Stomatellas, I'm digging the Cerith snails I got from Aquatic Collection this week. They're small and can get into tight spaces like Stomatellas.

    Snails doing the nasty...

I've had Banded Trochus snails breed regularly in my tank. In theory they will self regulate. If there's not enough food the baby snails will die off and you don't need to do anything. The process will yield food for your fish and corals.

    Hitchhiker... Aaaah!!!

Don't worry about them, they don't anything bad The stomella snail is harmless too. I've tried buying them but I've never seen anyone carry them specifically. They get into spaces other snails can't.

    Hitchhiker... Aaaah!!!

I've had them both before and they don't really spread and don't harm anything. Is this the worm in the top video? http://www.melevsreef.com/critters/spionid-worm

Anywhere to get LRS Reef Frenzy locally other than Diablo Corals?

Which Rods food are you using? I've been using it over a year and find its very clean. It has some fine particles that are designed to feed your corals, maybe that's what you're seeing.

What type wrasse that does not disturb sandbed?

I know they've been bred in captivity so perhaps they can be kept long. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/blog/just-say-no-to-cleaner-wrasses http://www.3reef.com/threads/all-about-reef-safe-wrasses.122261/#ath For the second link scroll down to Labroides

What type wrasse that does not disturb sandbed?

I had the same experience once with my Biocellatus. I drug my fingers through every inch of sand and couldn't find her. I once accidentally found her cleaning, scared the heck out of me when she shot out of the sand bed like a rocket.

What type wrasse that does not disturb sandbed?

I have a Halichoeres and they need a sand bed but I wouldn't say they disturb it. I challenge anyone to find one in the sand when they dive in, they don't leave a trace. That said any of the flashers will sleep in rocks not the sand. They are also more peaceful than the Halichoeres. I would...

ALERT: Heat Wave this week. Watch those temperatures.

I've got my window AC for the living room where my tank is, but I found that switching to DC pumps made a big dent in tank heat for me. Even with the AC my tank's temp used to creep up.

Where to buy Gate Valves PVC locally?

I was able to get the 1/2" gate valves from Urban Farmer for my reactor plumbing. I believe they carried both slip and threaded pieces.
