I used it, with my Apex, for years on my 90 gal and 125 gal...loved the water quality that I got with it. I agree with easy does it, but I never experienced any problems with crashing at all. I monitored it via my ORP probe and ran it through my skimmer. As with anything, YMMV, but I'd do it...

So, I have cycled!!!! Did about a 90% water change this evening to get the nitrates under control and then added more ammonia...getting excited!!!

Coming from Utah, I am suffering from severe sticker shock!

Since the tank is cycling, I have almost no skimmate. I have the collection cup to the top position with a drain hose in a bucket, but have had no problems with overflow. BTW, I had forgotten how frustrating cycling is, lol. As far as noise goes, are you using the stock "T"? I read that...

Okay, good to know, thanks! I'm used to having a skimmer in an enclosure in the sump so I hear ya..no pun intended. The micro bubbles suck, but I'll have to wait it out.
