I fixed a problem with our DNS entries that I think was causing some people's email providers to block our notifications. Levi said that that's fixed things for him. I'm hopeful that it's working for everyone now. Please let me know if you continue to have trouble.

The mail issues aren't related to the performance problems. We've been having trouble with emails not going out. I kicked it yesterday and it sent out all the emails that had queued up.

I picked up an illuminata from Robert today, though I got the non-overflow version. I'm going to drill the back and do a custom overflow instead. Thanks, Robert! Thanks everyone else for the suggestions, too.

Who's your favorite glass aquarium manufacturer? I'm thinking about replacing my beat up old current tank and stand with shiny new ones. It would need to be about 36"w and 18" deep. Suggestions?

Yeah slow for me this morning too. I tried adjusting a couple settings. Maybe that will help. We have limited server resources so if a few people are doing something that's computationally heavy (like searches) then it can slow down for a bit.

I had similar problems until I switched to a peristaltic pump. It's been rock solid ever since.

There are a couple types of digital timers. There's a kind that's always in timer mode with a button to turn it off and on. Those are great. There's another type, though, where you push an on/off button that cycles through "off", "off auto", "on", and "on auto". I find those super annoying...

I have to admit, that's pretty much the hardware dreamhost had us on. ;-)
