I've used Krylon fusion and it lays out pretty well and flashes over fast. You can sand and polish too as long it is cured. No need for primer with Fusion. Painted my panels the week we had nice weather. I had originally painted the fronts orange but didn't like the color so I resprayed it white to match the sides. Still need a couple of more coats before it's finally done.

Interesting idea. My guess is that there might be some type of lubricant/grease inside the extension of the one pictured that will leach into the tank. It will probably rust within the enclosures...looks hard to clean and dry out. Maybe this will be better...

Thanks for the info...didn't think about the maintenance part. I wonder if condensation builds up inside the doser while it's in the fridge. Maybe the heat generated by the unit keeps it dry...just pulling that out of my rear as I have no idea lol.

Yeah, I kind of rolled the dice on the Krylon Fusion. I wasn't sure if it would sand and polish well. Fortunately, it worked out well.
