    Help-a-reefer: moving to Berkeley

Due to various reasons, we are moving to Berkeley. Yay! With that comes the issues of moving a tank. I wanted to ask if anyone is in Berkeley who can help me store/hold some zoas and SPS for a week or more while I move my tank? Similarly, mid/late-October, anyone have time on weekend to help...

    2013 Florida Coral Spawning Project

That is amazing! Anyone know how to make corals spawn? Is it stress factors? Or chemicals? Or simply large coral maturity? How come in our home tanks this does not happen? We skim it out? Eaten by microfauna?

    Majano wand/aiptasia zapper

Pharmacy, or you can use eye droppers and mix a thick paste to cover the aiptasia. Disconnect you pumps so you don't just blast the newly placed paste all around your tank. After 15 min to 1/2 hour restart pumps.

    Nudibranch for Aptasia

Get copperband if you can keep it alive, use kalkwasser or Joe's juice, or berghias (hard to get critical mass)... And peppermints if they are trained to eat aiptasia. Some are look-alikes that fon't eat aiptasia.

Thanks guys! I have a batch or two of hatched babies but I need to get them big enough to share. Right now they are like a dust speck you can barely tell are moving.

    Coral ID

I did not know there was a plating pokerstar. Thought would be cooler than an encrusting pokerstar. For some reason I thought they were all encrusting. Cool.

    Nudibranch for Aptasia

if you have scraped aiptasia (not attached to rock)... I can trade you some berghia egg clutches or you can wait until I have berghia babies in 1-2 months. Juveniles may be 2-3 months. I would probably do something like 5 aiptasia per berghia egg clutch 2 aiptasia plus $2 per baby berghia 4...

Totally agreed. Great event! Enjoyed looking at SOOO many water containers and seeing such big skimmers. Eric gave a great talk about clams. He is a "marine physiology" grad student and needs our help with his clam research. Anyone with clams, send a message to Crabby or hopefully Eric will...

For those attending the event... Anyone want anything from me? Berghia egg clutches? DBTC Pink&golds Generic zoa/paly rock? Idaho grape? Sour apple plating Monti I have other stuff, but until our DBTC tracker is up and running, my other stuff are for members who have contributed in the past...

Felicia's 30 Gallon Seahorse Tank - Seahorses have arrived!!!

I love how the breeder uses yellow plastic chain to get the seahorses to stay yellow. Maybe you should do something like that. Make a yellow chain link "suspension bridge". "golden gate bridge". Hahahaha

    Zeroinverse Berghia Breeding (again!)

I always want aiptasia =) So if you can just collect them and even just put them in a glass jar with slightly open lid for aeration, they'll keep for several weeks (or months) for that matter. Then we can arrange time for pickup. ^_^
