Well I got started at 8am, drove to Kessil in Richmond to grab a couple items and been at it since. All livestock is officially transferred and filtration/heaters are hooked up and running! No leaks, no back siphon (drilled 1/8” holes) and I’m officially tired so I’ll be taking a break then...

Haha I feel the same. Not cause I’m incompetent just that if it has a plug for Ethernet this is always the superior connection. Avid video gamer so Ethernet or bust when it comes to reliability.

Ha! Party time. The tank cleaned up real nice once I commuted 2 hours of my life to the cause. I’m definitely pleased with my work and now the glass is almost back to new.

Well I think tomorrow’s the day. I found 3 nems almost completely blocking the overflows on the 40 gallon so it’s time.

No. Honestly I don’t see the appeal, imo it looks way worse and there are proactive ways to keep a sandbed clean and the bare bottom gets crap on it as well so I much prefer the sanded look.

Well the tank got some vinager soaking and rinsing and now it’s passing a leak test. Figured I’d wash the dry rock in this rodi before draining since it’s easy enough. Got some cement coming that I’ll be making a couple structures with.

Those disappeared so quick haha. I’ll let you know on the next round.

Sure do haha. The plan was always an upgrade so I made sure all the equipment would transfer over to a much larger tank.
