    Complete Bonus/Ultra Coral List - 2024 Current

I think the DPV anemone is one of those special lineages with local history that people pay a lot more for and consider extra valuable? Plenty of folks around here more knowledgeable than I am about it. Perhaps ultra if lineage is correct?

    Unreleased Hydros Maven

The Maven looks slick and checks all the boxes, on paper at least. There are 7 different reagent bottles and waste container in addition to the module they show, I’m curious what that all looks like.

Improving my coral fragging - coral glue accelerator

With the accelerator- You want to put the accelerator on one side and the glue on the other then smoosh together quickly and decisively since you only have like 1-2 seconds once they contact. If you instead put glue on the coral, then spray the glue with accelerator, then put on plug or rock is...

Cyanoacrylate - How can I remove this most effectively from tiles?

I’d use cyanoacrylate debonder to soften it and then a firm edge like old credit card or razor to scrape it off. Have to be careful not to scratch the tile. https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Smith-Industries-BSI-161-Debonder/dp/B0000DD1QS

Overcomplicated tank? Nah, that's just old school!

Featured 6/1 Frag Swap at Mission Blue Center

He’s listing zoas because Josh asked for input in the post above. But yeah I agree we should make a separate thread for the bonus/ultra update suggestions.

    DBTC: stomatella snail

Good idea to share these on DBTC, since they can reproduce in our tanks. Hopefully receiving members will keep sharing them as they do.

Emergency!!!! Front seam busted on 220!!!!

I just put everything to keep in the tank, fill 3/4 or so with water, add heater and flow. Figure out how to place the lights (least straightforward part). When I used it for a while I put in a skimmer on a riser. Egg crate and zip ties is very versatile for risers, partitions, etc. Works...

Remove mushroom UPDATE: KEEP THEM ALIVE

I use the older version of these coral pruners to cut just under the foot into the rock as best I can. It’s a lot of work, and sometimes you cut the mushroom by accident. But after some practice it’s easier and more successful. I’ve collected hundreds of mushrooms this way. If you do it a couple...

    Temperature Survey

77.5-78.0 F No particularly fancy reason, just that that’s the typical tropical ocean temperature. I’ve had my set point be a degree cooler and also a degree warmer over the years, with no ill effects. I use fans to keep it from getting warmer than 78.5 F. I think stability is more important...

    FYI trident service backlog

I’m bummed to hear Neptune service isn’t what it used to be, that was always their main selling point in my experience

    FYI trident service backlog

No, BRS doesn’t exist as an independent company anymore. The same company that bought BRS also bought Neptune Systems. And Ecotech. And AquaIllumination. And they just got the distribution rights for Reef Factory. All owned by Aperture Pet and Life now, which is just a friendlier sounding...

    Salinity survey

Yes within the range of 34.5-35.5 PSU lol I’m not sure what you mean by “whatever they get”- Do you mean you don’t check salinity in your tank or new salt water? I don’t recommend that.
