55 days of birdsnest growth

This is 55 days of growth. I have since fragged it and scattered the pieces across my tank. Their growth form produces very pleasantly round tops

Once the frags I have grow out, I can add them to DBTC if there’s interest

The leng sy? It’s growing vertically so you can hardly tell lol

I’ve increased light and wc schedule and now it’s growing faster…

and yeah this pic is from a few weeks ago

Check out this progression of a Mother JB who decided to completely detach from her foot, and the baby that grew from it.

Original momma JB on rock:

July 29th 2024, separated from foot.

August 9th. It did nothing for a week and a half and then all of a sudden was growing fast.

August 18th, fully recognizable and developing bright orange coloration.

9/18. Last update. Almost full adult size already. Multiple red streaks developing quickly (hard to capture)

And I was able to safely recover the mother after she let go.

Hijacking this but if anyone wants Birdsnest frags, feel free to PM me. I did break up several pieces when moving a larger colony.
