Yet another upgrade.

Hey guys just wanted to update the status of my 90 gallon tank. Going bare bottom, rocks have been added, I got two maxspec 250 gyres providing flow. The sump has a bubble magus 7 elite, the middle chamber has a kessil h80 with a large amount of cheato and bio-filter block, which i am debating on breaking into smaller pieces. I built a crappy light stand for the meantime until i get all my tool in from amazon. For lighting i am using two 36 inch orphek led bars along with an ap9x. I am still trying to figure out the aquascaping. (who wants to do it for me) ill pay you haha. I have an apex classic running for the meantime to control the heating and lighting for my cheato, i will be switching everything over once i feel the tank is matured enough. As for par, the top I am getting 600-450par, middle 450-300 and bottom I am 150-280

Jestersix will build an aqua scape and is local. they have ads on this site, I’m not sure if they pay for them anymore but they have them

Update on my tank. Everything is running great created a 80/20 light stand which I am sort of proud of. And all the corals are happy. I added two 2inch yellow and purple tang. My girlfriend bought me two clowns and and nice sailfin tang all of them are getting along, also added a cleaner wrasse. Corals are even happier. Best polyps extension I’ve seen out of them. Couldn’t be any happier.

Hi everybody just wanted to wish the bar family a happy Christmas and hope Santa gave you guys something on your wishlist. Just wanted to do a quick update on my journal. Everything is doing great. A lot of the corals started incrusting really quick. Great polyp extensions. Will be adding another mp40 to the mix sometime this week when my gift arrives. I ditch the ap9x and got myself two gen 4 radion xr30 pros along with replacing one of the light bars with an orphak or3 blues, will be getting another one to replace the other light bar. What a change and response I’m getting from the corals and it is outstanding. Ofcourse nothing wrong with the ap9x. If I had two of them I’d probably get the same response, just didn’t want to dish out another 800 for another fixture. Just getting adjusted to the disco effect compare to kessils shimmer. But overall my tank is doing great and I really have no complaints. Specially bringing back my cherrybomb back to life, didn’t think it was going to survive the bubble bath massacre. Also the dbtc green slimmer is growing quick, along with cutting a few generous pc rainbow frags and putting them out into the dbtc. Any tips on cutting frags. Since this will be my first time fragging. Should I look into ordering a fragging kit? Anyways happy holidays and enjoy the pics below.

I, like almost everyone else, run the ab+ template. Looks like you need that par meter again.

Yes I thinks that what I’m running. I’ll double check. I’m debating on grabbing a third one. So I can maximize the spread. Does the diffuser matter? Does it affect par?

Thanks man It’s been quite a journey. But I think I got everything dialed in and parameters as steady as it can be. Just dosing Red Sea ab+, amino frenzy and oyster feast also my friend makes his own food which I also use. Noticed the corals are loving the different foods. Specially bringing back some corals back from being completely bleached in less than a month.

It’s a 4ft tank. I currently have 2 xr30s pros, two Orphek led bars one is 48in or3 and the other is a 36 inch or1, which will get upgraded really soon. I’m going for full sps dominant tank. Strictly acros.

u might get away with 2 xr30s depending how your scape is. I would suggest maybe adding a xr15 in the middle and the other two xr30s on each side.

For a 48" long. 2 XR30Ws is al you need... you can get more spread with a diffuser.

In my 48" L, 24" H .. i get 150 - 180 bottom. And pick up 100PAR extra every 3rd way up...

For better spread get the diffusers. They're cheap and cheaply made but the work well
