we also went to see the planetarium show and a 3D show called "bugs" very cool place to visit.

Oh, ok. If it was taped to the outside then it was most likely to help with cleaning the glass. Hard to see the algae from the inside sometimes.

were those frogs out in the open?? Can't imagine if they manage to climb out, some kid goes "oooh froggy" and BAM permanent part of the exhibit

I actually was by today, didn't go in though, just looked from the outside, didn't want the g/f to rip me a new one for going without her

the red/blue frogs where out in open but you'll have to jump to reach the branch they are on :D and if you miss.....well your about 20-30 feet high (almost at the top of the rainforest ) and the tree is in the middle of exhibit.

Most likely it's to help acclimate the fish to the window (see albino alligators noise for what fish would like like :D ). Many utilize bubble walls so the grid makes sense :D

The string grid is for buffing happening on the inside of the glass. They do the work at night, but leave the grid up during the day. They should be done soon.

The frogs in your first pic aren't real! :D

Weaksauce! But at least they look like really believable fakes :D

I'm a little upset that I found out the place is only open until 5pm? What's with that? Going on a weekday is now out unless it's by myself :(

Hahaha. I have pics of those frogs too. When I saw them and took the pics I was like, "whoah. I can't believe those are real!" I didn't know till now that they aren't!

They fooled me too for a few minutes!

Post yours so we can compare. :D

BTW, there are real ones in a Terrarium in the rainforest!

I saw a lot of frogs, but I don't think I saw the real ones of those! (Maybe I was in too much of a rush to get to the reef. heh.)

Hi Rich! is the green and black one real? I've seen those all over Central America, and was always afraid I'd brush up against one in the middle of the night stumbling around the jungle :D
