Algae ID + Help

Hi .. Am getting a bunch of patches of this red algae. Has a very thick consistancy, and feels like a sponge if you break it off the rocks. Any idea's of what kind this is, and maybe some idea's on what would eat this stuff. thanks!!

red slime algae??

No, It isn't red slime algae .. It is some kind of macro algae. Is just a very thick clump, that has a texture just like a sponge, I had a friends tang in my tank for a while, and it ate it, I think that is what got it spread out all over my tank. It was just on one rock, about the size of a baseball, the tang ate all of it, but now it is coming up all over the place.
But the tang solution won't work becuase the tank isn't big enough.
