algae ID please

Anyone have an ID for this type of algae?

Ya, it's been in my tank for a while with kinda slow growth. I can prob cut off one or two of those stalk things for you. Got any extra macro of any kind? Going to plant a different tank.

I have a nice red branching like SPS type (you can tell I'm really good with names ) .. Very slow grow for me. I was hoping for it to grow fast so I can put some in DBTC.

Here is a old pic.. I put it in the new tank and it's really dark red now.

Phong, you sure it's not the same stuff? Was looking more for leafy, fast growing stuff. Green is fine too.

Doesn't look like it.. The one you have looks "soft". This thing is hard.

I don't have any other green stuff.

It kind of looks like Red Grape Calerpa to me.

Yeah, I guess mine looks kinda..."poppable"
Fast growing is fine, the 20L will have plenty of open sand for it.

thats botryocladia, its often mistaken or labeled as caulerpa.

I always thought botryocladia had much larger "sacks" and more of a pearshape to them as opposed to round. I've seen what I understand to be botryocladia with "sacks" almost an inch long. Where as what I understand to be grape calerpa has "sacks" that remain very small. I guess I need to research this more to get clarification.

It looks close but yours probably does not chain like the Strings of Pearl; right?
