I run my waste to my sink, but keep it high enough so I can collect it in buckets for watering plants or freshwater tank water changes. I had thought about plumbing it to a planter, but would want some kind of a drip system so it spreads out more. I like the flexibility of having 5 gallon buckets of "fresh" water, and if it overflows, it goes down the drain.Ouch. I’m thinking how to best collect and reuse my waste. Drip irrigation for yard, initial fill on laundry, maybe hose for spot watering in yard. Use Won’t keep up with my supply tho. I’d like to feed my hot water heater with it ideally. I guess that’s gross and maybe needs chlorine injection or something to keep bacteria from growing. Either that or toilets somehow.
I do the same for an orange tree of mine. Best and sweetest oranges ever.We have a long line that empties the RODI waste water to a fruit tree in our yard. We move the end every few weeks to a different tree. We get so much more fruit this way!
Yup. Except in my case, 5 gallon jugs of freshly made SW. On my deck, in my office, on me...
Top snaps off while I am carrying the jugs
yeah -- it's like playing roulette... you never know which jug and when it decides to misbehave...Ugh I was just swapping the same stories with a friend. We both had stories about those handles crumbling.
