Anyone use X-10 to controll stuff?

I have a box full of X-10 stuff from my apartment in SF when I went nuts and got tons of X-10 units. Pretty useless to have remote contols for lights in a single bedroom apartment! (But it was fun!)

Anyone use it to set up timers and stuff?

I used them in my old setup, but it was tied to an aquacontroller.

I use em with my AII

I use them with my AC3. They control my fans and halides. Very reliable for the past 2 years.

So I guess I could mimic an AC3 using X-10 and an old laptop (all you need is a serial cable!)
But there are no feedback controls (temp, etc)
