Are red SPS hard to keep their color?

I was wondering since I haven't seen them that much on pictures of peoples tanks. Are red SPS hard to keep? Do they not keep their color easily? For example a Raspberry Milli or Bubble Gum Pink Milli, are they difficult to keep? Any other "red" SPS you would recommend that are not too hard to keep?

IME red millis are the easiest to keep red, red stags are much more difficult. You can try an ORA rose milli, they tend to be easy to keep color with.

Thanks for the info Jeremy! Is there any place in the bay area you know that sells a ORA rose milli frag? The only red milli's Atlantis Aquarium has is Raspberry Milli or Bubble Gum Pink Milli. They also have an ATL Ruby Red Table but I don't know if this is a difficult coral or not.
I think Ultimate Aquarium in San Mateo had a frag or two last time I was in there, other than that anyone who orders ORA can get it for you. I have the cherry bomb milli from Atlantis, I got it as a microscopic frag at the last BACFM, it is only now starting to show color. My red ink selago stag on the other hand is the most frustrating coral I've ever kept, reds are not easy, but doable.

Only red I had was a mille I got from Wayland (I think) a long time ago, it's more of an orange color now, but it has really green tips :D So I don't mind. I think it's really a matter of spectrum of lighting on these suckers.

my Clint's red stag seems to keep a dark red color
Jeremy don't you have a Clint's red stag?
No Brian, I don't :'(.

As with most milllis IME, they want the highest spot with the most flow and light in the tank, new growth tends to color up and hold color. They really need to get treated as reefcrest animals. Red stags, I have no idea what makes them tick, mebbie I'll try to get them all (pokemon style)n and see which one likes my tank :D
