I bought this Blue Tang from Dudley about 6-8 months ago. He's a great fish, I like him a lot. Great personality and not skitish like my old one. The only thing is after I finish feeding him, he will swin around in a certain pattern and gulp a bunch of air and then releasing it while he swims down. He will do this for 30-40 minutes. None of my other tangs had this behavior before. It's nothing major but I'm just curious if other tangs you guys have might have this behavior and why it's doing it. Is he just retarded?

I have a swallowtail angel that will go to the front left corner to gulp/bite at air and then as she swims down she slowly releases it.

She does this over and over and over again.

I think we all have "That Fish" that kinda rides the short bus, and theres not a whole lota reason for their actions. But im glad im not the only one.

they are filling their air bladder for better boyancy control I think... either that or trying to belch the alphabet. ;)

Gresh says that tangs are known to be kind of goofy. And that's supposed to be why Dory was the way she was in the movie :D

Here is my first attempt at Youtube but you could see my "SPECIAL" tang acting like a meat head.

Interesting.

My swallowtail does the same, but does not swim the length of the tank just halfway, rinse, and repeat.

Ok, Raddogz doesn't use the full length of the tank and Nukeproof does ... so Nuke proof tang is ahead is the decathalon round one full tank laps

Round two is the buble toss, and so far Raddogz is ahead in that category so its tied at 1-1 :D :D

next round is high jump ... :D :D

nukeproof, great stratergy, nothing high jumping better than the wrasses :D :D make sure you install a net so you don't loose your wrasse.

Want to the lineatus that's sitting in the overflow? :D

She started here but the Teminecki did her in and that's how she wound up in the overflow

Those look like great candidates for your jumper, Eileen. My best one already made the leap courtesy of my Solar Wrasse. So you win this round.

I thought my solar wrasse was awful with that purple wrasse, but no way.

Arnold says I should add a few more wrasses to curb the agression. :D
