High Tide Aquatics

Body Shop?

I've used Alameda Auto Body 3 or 4 times for insurance work. Good job, but I don't remember the costs though. Other party's insurance paid each time.

It's only on the front corner (the other front corner was already smashed. also when the car was parked!) and I have a high deductible, so I think I'll get a quote before bothering with insurance.

Thanks, guys.

On a side note then you may want to consider lowering your deductible on your comprehensive coverage. Lowering my deductible from 500 to 250 on my comprehensive added maybe 50 bucks a year (this was when I was paying 2000 a year). I'm not sure how much it adds to my insurance now. I know how you feel, I have bad luck with my car when its parked. I've had to use it three times in the last two years and I also have a good size dent in the side of my car now. Just one thing to note, do not report anything dealing with comprehensive coverage more than two times a year. My friend that used to work at AAA said that they will drop you if you file three claims in one year.

I will talk to my next door neighbor when I see him today. His family owns a body shop in richmond. They are a nice family and I have seem some of the work they have done when he brings cars home. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of it off of the top of my head. I will post back later when I find out. If you want to come out my way Concord/Walnut Creek I know of 10 good body shops that are a good price.

I've used these guys in the past before (twice) for different cars. Work was done well and within a reasonable time frame (Acura was in the shop for 2 weeks for a knocked out tail light which also incurred body damage and the Subaru was in for 5 weeks after side swiping a redwood during a snowboarding expedition :D ). Used insurance to file claim both times.
