  2. Send a private message to the last member who has the equipment with the following contact information
    • Phone Number
    • Address
  3. If suction cups are in storage, send the message to a BOD member.

Returning the Suction cups
  • Ideally, the next person in line will come and get them.
  • If not, deliver the suction cups to a BOD member to be returned to storage within some reasonable time so they will not be lost and forgotten.
  • We have BOD members throughout the bay area where you can drop the suction cups off.
  • You have the option of delivering it to the next person who wants to borrow it or bringing it to a BOD member.
We have two sets of 4 suction cups
One set is slightly smaller. You can borrow either set, or both for large tanks.

How do I use the suction cups ?

  1. Check the suction cups to make sure they are clean.
  2. more to add later

No More Suction cups For You
  1. If the suction cups shows up to you damaged/dirty, you can post in this thread and take a picture of the suction cups.
    • If the BOD members agrees, the previous user will get a Warning.
  2. If you do not return the suction cups within 16 days, you get a Warning.
    • Plan your suction cups days efficiently before borrowing.
  3. If you get 2 Warnings, you're done. No more suction cups for you.
  4. Clean the suction cups . This is your suction cups too.
We want you and everyone else to be able to use the suction cups again :).

It's really not that hard to use. Watch the video, read the manual, ask people questions. :)

Added photos for documentary

And I found a case that fit all of them together nicely.

Right off the bat I think we need to update all the club borrowing rules to if you need the equipment, you pick it up from whoever had it last. That way people can decide if they need the equipment badly enough to drive across the bay to pick it up, or let the next person in line get it (especially if the next person is closer to them).

Then if the equipment hasn’t been used in a while, and if BOD wants to take the equipment back, they can pick up the equipment from the last person who used it.

Does this make sense or is there a reason the rule is written differently?

I agree that since they are the one who is motivated, the next user should be the one picking it up either from the last user if back-to-back, or a Board member.

The current rule that the last user who is done with it has to go out of their way to deliver it to the next user anywhere in the extended Bay Area never made sense to me. Kind of asking for trouble from human nature and motivation point of view.

May I borrow the club's suction cups? Who has it right now and is there an updated list? Would it be possible to get it at the cfm?

I have the suction cups in Castro Valley. Unfortunately, I won’t be going to the CFM. Is anyone in the Castro valley area going who could bring them?

@sjbro has not responded so I’m planning to hand the suction cups over to BOD member. @rygh I think you’re the closest to me. Can I deliver it to you?

Sorry, Mozby. I was overwhelmed with work these past weeks. I didn't even get a chance to check the forums. (I should make some time to install the phone app one day ...)

You may pass them over to @rygh as I haven't pulled the plug on ordering the tank yet. Then I'll follow up with him. Thanks!
